The calculation of basic earnings/(loss) per share is based on the profit 
attributable to shareholders for the year of HK$22,350,000 (2003 : 
loss of HK$41,126,000) and the weighted average of 1,492,410,986 (2003 : 
1,492,414,789) ordinary shares in issue during the year.                   

The fully diluted earnings/(loss) per share is not shown because there was
no dilutive potential ordinary shares in existence as at the balance sheet
